Photo Op – 2008 BikeMS at Cypress Gardens this Weekend
Cypress Gardens, FL – 2008 BikeMS: Bright House Networks Ride 2008 will depart from Cypress Gardens on Saturday, April 26, traveling through some of Central Florida's best cycling spots, to Orlando and then returning to Cypress Gardens on Sunday, April 27. Registration begins on 6:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 26 and the ride begins at 7:00 a.m. from the concert area. On Sunday the riders return to the Cypress Gardens concert area between 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. where friends and family wait to welcome the riders back. There are expected to be over 1,500 riders participating in the 2008 BikeMS. The riders have worked hard to secure sponsors and help raise money for The National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
Multiple Sclerosis is a devastating disease affecting over 400,000 Americans. Though there is no cure, advances in treatment are being made to help people manage the symptoms of MS and steps are being taken to help people understand the disease. Through efforts like the 2008 BikeMS, The National MS Society is able to provide educational programs, quality of life grants, therapeutic equipment and funding for research.
Cypress Gardens is located in Winter Haven, Florida four miles west of SR 27 on Cypress Gardens Boulevard. Regular admission is $39.95, plus tax for ages 10-59, Children admission is $34.95 plus tax for ages 3-9 and Senior admission is $34.95, plus tax for 60+.
